Review Emirates Business Class A380 Kuala Lumpur to Dubai

After my very pleasant stay in The Emirates Lounge Kuala Lumpur I headed to the gate for my flight to Dubai (DXB) shortly after boarding was announced in the lounge. Kuala Lumpur (KUL) has one A380 gate in the satellite building, which is used by Emirates. The boarding process was chaotic as usual in KUL, security was amazingly slow and when the flight went to final call there were still around 200 people to clear.

The A380 gate has a dedicated Business/First lane for security, which was of course not staffed. When they realised they wouldn’t manage to finish on time they opened it, but rather than using it as it is dedicated they just shuffled everyone to there, no matter of class ticketed.

Review Pullman Saigon suite

Since I am a frequent visitor to Ho Chi Minh City, very much like Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, I do have a favourite hotel in Vietnams biggest city where I spend most of my stays at.

The Pullman Saigon was opened just a few years ago, hence it is one of the most modern hotels in the city and located in the CBD at the border of district 1, still close to the center but also convenient to go in the surrounding districts.

Review Novotel Melaka Suite

Over a look weekend in late 2016 I used my chance to explore more of Accors rather small food print in Malaysia and drove down to Melaka, one of Malaysias biggest cities and a short 90 minutes drive from the capital Kuala Lumpur.

Melaka is a famous place for food but does not necessarily feature a beautiful scenery or any notable activities, besides some museums and an ancient church. While it is next to the ocean there are no real beaches and you can’t at all go for a beach vacation due to the polluted waters.

Review Pullman Dresden Newa

During my summer trip to Germany in 2015 I spent one night in the Pullman Dresden Newa, which is a 4-star property centrally located in Dresden. Due to it’s central location in the historic part of the city the Pullman is a good base for both shopping and sightseeing.

Right opposite the Pullman Accor also built a much larger Ibis that features a solid 3-star product, to offer a more budget friendly option to travellers looking for the same central location as the Pullman.

Review MGallery The Royal Beach Seminyak Bali

For the long weekend over Thaipusam I decided it was finally time for a trip to Bali. After having been living in South East Asia for almost 3 years I had never made my way to Indonesia or the Bali, even though it clearly is a very famous destination amongst tourists.

As a Le Club platinum member I decided to spend my nights at one of the numerous Accor properties in Bali, the MGallery Royal Beach Seminyak. While I did really not like Bali, article on that is coming up, I can’t really decide if I dislike the hotel or if it is just old and I should have expected to get what I got.

Review Premier lounge Ngurah Rai International Airport Bali

After spending a long weekend in Bali, Indonesia I took a flight back to Kuala Lumpur with Malaysia Airlines in business class, as I reviewed the product before I won’t do so again and instead focus on the airport experience.

Ngurah Rai International Airport Bali (DPS) seems to have been undergoing recent renovation, from what I gathered online it was a dump before that and as far as I experienced the renovation seems to have been a missed chance to change that.
